Graphic Design and Animation Specialist (remote)

SmarkLabs is looking for motion graphics and visual designer (Creative Specialist) who can design and create animated videos for our clients. This role will support other tasks outside of video projects.

**All interested individuals are required to submit a portfolio and be willing to work on a test project during the interview process.**

Requirements

  • The ability to create new, unique, on-brand video content from scratch and illustrate and animate basic, flat-style vector graphics and iconography. The ability to adhere to clear brand style guidelines for font, color, and style.
  • Use and build design asset libraries for the agency.
  • The technical ability to export video according to various publishing guidelines for video quality, file size, audio range, etc.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to determine video concepts.
  • Must be open to feedback and responsive to creative directional changes with quick turnaround time.
  • Ability to support creative tasks outside of video projects (graphics, collateral, logos, etc).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to QA your own work.
  • Adhere to project management guidelines.
  • 1+ years of professional experience.

Technical / Software Requirements

  • Adobe Illustrator – Strong ability to create simple, sleek vector illustrations.
  • Adobe After Effects – Deep knowledge of animation best practices.
  • Adobe Premiere – Know the fundamentals of video editing.
  • Adobe Audition – Ability to slightly tweak audio files if and when necessary.
  • Adobe Photoshop – Proficient in image editing, color correcting, and resizing.

Additional skills desired, but not required:

  • CSS
  • HTML 5

Marketing Specialist (remote)

We’re looking for a digital marketer who is tech-savvy, self-motivated, and exceptional at copywriting. This is a fast (and fun) career growth opportunity if you’re willing to dive in 100% and take ownership of your work. 

**HubSpot or related marketing automation experience is a big plus**

What you’ll be doing 

The Marketing Specialist will execute tasks that support client campaigns and initiatives. You’ll support the lead strategy role. As your role grows, so will the complexity of the tasks. 

There are really three primary responsibility areas of the Marketing Specialist. 

1) Quality work. First and foremost, you will need to execute tasks with quality and timeliness. Learning the clients and their industry is critical to success here. 

2) Project Execution. As a Marketing Specialist, you will need to execute tasks for multiple clients that support their overall strategy. You must be detail-oriented with strong communication skills.

3) Manage key marketing systems. Learn the tech stack and become a proficient expert in managing those tools (HubSpot marketing automation, CRM, data services, and lead management processes across those systems).

Initial Responsibilities

  • Write and create high-quality marketing email campaigns. 
  • Write, edit, and post blog content and optimizing content for search engines and readability.
  • Publish to social channels 
  • Create landing pages 
  • Manage technical aspects of key marketing systems (marketing automation, CRM, data services, and lead management processes across those systems).
  • Managing editorial calendars 
  • Writing ad and video copy 

Job requirements

  • 2-3 years of marketing or related experience
  • 2-3 years copywriting for email, web, ad, blog, etc. 
  • WordPress knowledge is a plus 
  • Prior HubSpot experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree

Business Development Representative (remote)

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for researching prospects, creating and executing outbound sales campaigns, and identifying new sales opportunities.

This position includes a base salary plus commissions.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Use your marketing and business acumen to identify how SmarkLabs could help a business grow through our services.
  • Review, research, and qualify new prospects in our database. This includes conducting high volume prospecting (60-100 activities per day) to qualify leads through calls, emails, and social media.
  • Leverage online tools and systems such as HubSpot CRM, LinkedIn, and Google to enrich data so we have a more well-rounded view of a prospective client.
  • Schedule marketing/sales assessments and discovery meetings for our CEO to further assess a prospect’s business and potential for partnership with SmarkLabs.
  • Conduct needs qualification calls with specific prospects as assigned.
  • Report on, meet and exceed weekly sales activity goals and monthly opportunity, and revenue quotas.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-year previous experience in a similar role (SDR/BDR/AE)
  • B.A. or B.S. degree required
  • A track record of high achievement (quota).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous marketing experience OR a self-driven marketing education through books, blogs, podcasts, etc.
  • The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment with peers who will challenge you to be better.
  • The desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals.
  • The technical aptitude to master our sales tools
  • Experience with HubSpot CRM is a BIG plus.
